Illuminate Raymond Terrace

From 4pm to 9pm, we’re brightening up Raymond Terrace with a family friendly event at Riverside Park, King Street, and Hunter Street. Illuminate will bring families and residents together with a focus on inclusion, culture, diversity and belonging!

We'll have a lantern making workshop, followed by a community parade, while fire flames lining the pathway along the iconic river will lead you through an array of attractions such as:

  • Markets and The Mutual Bank Cultural Zone
  • Live music
  • Roving artists
  • Raymond Terrace Therapy Inclusion Zone
  • A silent disco within the MarketPlace Toasted Zone
  • Food trucks
  • Public bar
  • Hot chocolate zone with Mortgage Choice FREE hot chocolate hour between 6:30 and 7:30pm
  • Make sure you don't miss the spectacular display of fireworks which will take place over the Hunter River at 8pm!

Download our Social Story to learn about how we're making Illuminate accessible to all and plan your attendance: pscouncil.info/3KbuM5o Social stories are short stories used to describe situations or concepts in a way that is meaningful for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

This event is made possible thanks to funding from the NSW Government, and our local sponsors MarketPlace Raymond Terrace, Raymond Terrace Therapy, The Mutual Bank, and Mortgage Choice.

Please note: In the event of inclement weather, fire twirling displays and/or fireworks may not proceed if there is a risk to staff and patron safety.
