Nelson Bay Cinema

Nelson Bay Cinema is an independent cinema operating on the Tomaree Peninsula of Port Stephens. Neil Merrin, operator,  has a long family history in the cinema industry, with generations of his family operating locations right across NSW and around Australia. Neil's passion is the show, your trip to the movies should be an experience. Sit back and relax with a drink, popcorn or a choc top and let the show encompass you.

Featuring 3 cinemas consisting of 400 seats in total. Newly installed recliners takes your movie experience to the next level.  Disabled access and seating is available. 

Parking is available within walking distance to the cinema and other town amenities. Disabled parking is located in the carpark at the rear of the Cinema mall, access via Donald Street

Supporting the communities passion for the big screens, Nelson Bay Cinema shows the latest blockbusters from around the world and offers a unique movie experience showcasing a range of old classics (Classic Wednesday). 

The cinema has a dynamic relationship with the local community playing host to a number of community events including film festival, private business and group events, as well as fundraising and specialty events.
